Asterisk Press™BOOK COMPETITION:
Deadline, November 1, 2008

Asterisk Press conducts an annual Fine Arts Book Competition. The 1st place winner will be selected to have their book featured in this Asterisk's Special Series category and have their book published and distributed by Asterisk Press. The winner will receive the first 100 copies at no coast and the remainder will be distributed at the terms of the standard contract price.

Asterisk Press Judges:
The judges includes leading editors, curators, gallery owners, consultants, creative directors, and art directors.

Asterisk Press Categories:
Subject categories include: Advertising, Photojournalism, Fine Art, Nature, and Portraiture.

Asterisk Press Deadline:
Deadline: November 1, 2008 Midnight, Eastern Time for email entries. Entries sent by mail must be post-marked by the above date.

Book Specification:
Standard Asterisk books: 15.2 cm x 21.5 cm ( 6" x 8.5"), Flexi Bound

Submission Guidline :
Submissions can be either a pre-formated, designed book or collection of photographs. Entries should have a distinct point of view and images should be relevent to the theme of the book. Please do not submit personal portfolios. Most entries consist, on average, of 50 images and should not exceed 100 images. If loose images are sent, they should not be larger than 11x14 and should not be mounted.

Simply fill out the entry form and send it with your work to Asterisk Press. You can submit as many entries as you like, there are no limits on the number of submissions.

Ways to Submit Your Entries
You may submit your book proposal one of the following ways:

1- Email: email us the PDF of the book and our online PDF submission from to asterisk_comp@gmail.com

2- MAIL: Mail us your printed book sample or CD of PDF file together with PDF submission form.

$75 per entry.
10% discount until August 1st.

Winner Notification
All winners will be announced online six to eight weeks after the final submission deadline.
